West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said according to the #Cianjur Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) at least 162 people were killed in the city from the 5.6 magnitude #earthquake which rocked parts of West Java on Monday. 362 people suffered various types of injuries and over 13,400 people had to be evacuated.

The #quake, which occurred at 1.21pm local time, destroyed the city and much of its infrastructures, with electricity down to 20% coverage, roads severely damaged, and spotty mobile coverage, in addition to severe damages to homes, offices, and other buildings.

The Governor said they expect to find more casualties and injured victims as they uncover rubbles and collapsed buildings over the next several days.
