You'd be surprise where we have taken that technology since.

@tmv33 @robertdmcneill If you talk w/ 20 or 30 yr old tech folks, many have never hear of Alta Vista Search. It's as if the Internet did not exist b/f Google... sad!
I recall 2 interviews w/in the last 5 yrs for Tech Executive/Manager positions at Google & AWS. When I mentioned my work on Alta Vista, it was as if it never existed.
So yes, for some, Alta Vista Search is obscure even though I still use some the algorithms developed on a new AI system.
@CarlVernet @robertdmcneill True, I can see that happening. But in this case, where Robert's asking about something from the 90s, you can rest assured you're in a safe space ☺️.
