I'll post an #introduction

I am a Climate Scientist, ORISE Fellow, and PhD Candidate based in North Carolina, USA. Research areas are: climate and weather modeling, extreme precipitation, downscaled climate data, applied climate, adaptation, and resilience. I code in python, R, and Fortran.

When not science-ing, I enjoy crafting, hockey, YouTube rabbit holes, and attempting to keep up with my two young kiddos.

Looking forward to chatting and getting to know folks!

@GrayWx Fortran reminds me that I once dealt with a scam caller who was going to “fix” my Windows PC. I told him, “I don’t waste my time with Windows, I’m running Fortran on an IBM 360.” “Click.” Don’t actually know Fortran, and the closest thing to a 360 I ever ran was a System 3 Model 15. Those ran on RPG for the most part, used to manage revolving credit accounts. As interesting dryer lint. I did write scripts in language called Userland Frontier for pre-Linux Macs.
