And a reminder that the GOP, now that they have the House, is going to vote on a FEDERAL "don't say gay" bill -- which they already introduced.

This will supercharge the hate that led to violence at the Q nightclub in Colorado Springs.

The GOP is responsible. They own it.

The Christian nationalist plan to mainstream anti-LGBTQ hate

Republicans will pass their national "don't say gay" bill if they win the House. And they'll keep trying until they succeed in making it into law.

The Signorile Report

The federal "don't say gay" bill was introduced by homophobic GOP Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson.

It equates sexual orientation and gender identity with pornography and “burlesque shows," & condemns "drag shows" on federal property.

It will incite more violence. The GOP owns it.

Bill now has 32 other GOP co-sponsors in House, including 2 who voted for Respect for Marriage Act.

So don't be deluded by some GOP voting for RMA. They're lying, distorting wha "don't say gay" bill is about, like Ron DeSantis, while harming LGBTQ kids & inciting violence.

@msignorile Interesting! One of the most memorable events of my trip to New Orleans was an extremely entertaining, and astounding Female Impersonator Group. That was in 1970. Back then everyone accepted Renée Richards as a professional tennis player. Our Society has degenerated in these past 50 years!
@msignorile, Absolutely! The blood is dripping off of them, literally and figuratively and has been for decades now. We are both old enough to remember their complicity with the mass deaths at the outset of the AIDS crisis and aiding and abetting waves of anti-queer activism in the name of their twisted version of godliness. My god, I did not believe that this would happen again with such a vengeance, but fascism is such an intoxicant for some people.
