I was asked what books are in my queue for recommendations of non-male authors but instead I’m going to list out a handful of my favourite genre authors who I consider absolutely reliable for excellence. (My queue is essentially “every new sf/f book my huge library gets that isn’t by a dude, isn’t a het romance, and has a positive trade review.”)
