I have a big butt and I cannot lie! 😂

3 water butts fitted. I was doing so well until it got to cutting the down pipe to fit the diverted kit. I got nervous about stuffing it up, so called my dad!

(awaiting the Mastodon response as when I posted on t’other place about having put together my compost bins I got abuse from someone I didn’t follow about them being plastic & told I was ‘virtue signalling’! FYI the bins and water butts are all 100% recycled plastic!) #gardening #DroughtProofing

@lilmsmally just asking, why ppl make a big deal bout them made of plastic whether recycle or not? I mean even it wasnt from a recycle one, still u gonna use for a long time

@1004 My thoughts too. (I’d deliberately bought recycled plastic ones, to be a little more environmentally friendly as they were good quality and good value.)

But she was someone who when I look seemed to just be vicious to random strangers for no reason. I didn’t follow her nor she me. Just a really unpleasant internet troll.

@lilmsmally here in my country this is normal and of course we use a tank - new or recycle one like yours to collect water. But I found out in other country, it’s kinda a big deal(?)

Last time I read that a man got called by authorities because someone reported he collected RAIN WATER FOR GARDENING WITHOUT PERMISSION(?)

I found it hilarious. Ppl who attack u guys for these r just so random.

@1004 it’s fine here in UK, most gardeners have them. In fact I had trouble getting these as they were out of stock, after our dry summer this year everyone seems to be getting ready for next year. I’ve a new garden with lots of young plants going in so need them. Have another to fit to collect water from the shed roof too.
