Twitter felt like a free flowing conversation between tons of people from all walks of life where sometimes you’d actually get to interact with some of your heroes. This feels like a non-threaded, lower traffic .net or PT without the alt-right.

I like both of those so that’s not bad and maybe I’ll figure out a way to get my feed to be different, but I don’t think it’ll have the same random discoveries aspect.

@thezzyzx you'll have so much more fun if you stop trying to make Mastodon be Twitter. It's different, intentionally. For now, I find this place to be so much nicer and more enjoyable with higher quality content and much less noise.
@sethadam1 I think what I don’t like is the local feed. It feels designed that that’s where most people will spend their time so this feels like posting to rec.music.phish. I feel pressure to stay on topic here (even Fruition or Shook Twins feels like it would be off topic) and so I think I’d need like 15 accounts on different servers to really get something out of this.
