There are now more than 1,200 COVID cases in NSW Hospitals. 45 in ICU.

This isn't working out as the politicians and big business interests had wanted. But, Hey!!! Guess they're not fussed about a truckload of body bags and Long C-19!

Economics and pandemics should never share the same space. Just Sayin'🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I think those who've pushed to #LetItRip have underestimated the long-term costs and the short-term negative externalities (which is so sadly predictable as to be a tragedy).

They have lost the social contract by talking about getting back to normal and that the pandemic was over. I don't think that they will ever get it back.

They have also failed to educate people on how to adapt to living with Covid. Instead, they have us living with death and disease.

I'm surprised they even bother reporting covid hospitalisations tbh

But yes, inching ever higher and as a lagging indicator, clearing we're already deep into this next (preventable) wave

@davidjoffe64 - Covid is smarter than most politicians, albeit it’s just a brainless virus, and the spread of illness is uncontained and rapid, so the politicians won’t and don’t recognise the dangers and say nothing. Totally agree with your ‘toot’.
