Christian DiCanioI'm an associate professor at the University at Buffalo who does research in articulatory & acoustic phonetics; corpus phonetics; tonal phonetics & phonology; prosody; and linguistic fieldwork. My fieldwork focuses mostly on Otomanguean languages in Mexico (Triqui, Mixtec varieties, Ixcatec). I'm an amateur pianist, poet, and hiker. I love fantasy fiction and cats. My husband refuses to get on social media, but Carmen doesn't mind.
