Bringing back the guy who ignited a deadly insurrection, tried to assassinate the VP & the Speaker, caused mass injury and several deaths, and nearly destroyed our democracy.

What a great way to assure advertisers of Twitter’s stability and reliability.😐

@QasimRashid I am pretty sure they are going to run.
@QasimRashid Elongated Muskrat seems to have forgotten that "angry users" aren't particularly good at generating revenue. At the end of the day, the company makes money by selling ad views to companies that target free users. And they want *nothing* to do with this mess right now...
@QasimRashid I always felt his Twitter feed was a national security issue. Not just the Insurrection but also the old "Little Rocket Man" tweets directed against eventual love interest Kim Jong Un, and other instances. Old Twitter leadership failed to act on his BS until after the Insurrection and even then it seemed too little, too late.
@QasimRashid I can't imagine Twitter survibh without Big Brand ad revenue and nobody is getting checks anymore.
@QasimRashid
Problem: advertisers don’t actually care. For proof, go look how fast they turned on funding for politicians that supported the insurrection.
@QasimRashid Twitter is truly Thank goodness I left when I did, about a week ago. He's turned it into a toxic hell hole.
@QasimRashid I imagine he’ll drop Truth social like a brick now, screwing over anyone involved there that hasn’t been screwed over already.
@richardknott @QasimRashid honestly, I think they tried the Truth Social thing when he got banned, saw it wasn’t going to work out/DT wouldn’t have the broad visibility and influence he had on Twitter, and Plan B was the Twitter takeover. Getting him back on Twitter of 2024 was the end game of this insane gambit.
@rachelmack @QasimRashid there’s suggestions that the Truth deal restricts Trump from returning, but prior precedent suggests that won’t stop him
@richardknott @QasimRashid I’m just saying I have heebie jeebies about the motivation
@rachelmack @QasimRashid
Someone posted this on the Birdsite, Musk may be listening to Putin, but Trump is thankfully off script so far:
@QasimRashid Andrew Tate is also back on Twitter
@QasimRashid think this is pissing gasoline on a fire? It seems to me like the bird place is dying faster now.
@QasimRashid I think we're all realized the man does not the least idea how to run a thing
@QasimRashid so many morons in this country.
@QasimRashid That has to be one of the worst business decisions of the century.
@QasimRashid
I'm sure PragerU is already jockeying for position.
@QasimRashid Blocking every advertiser is fun, though. If everyone did so, Musk would dry up and blow away.
@QasimRashid It was never about the "people". It was always about the grift.
@QasimRashid Exactly! I deleted the app from my phone and iPad tonight, but I will keep the account open for now. 😕
@QasimRashid I'm glad I found you. How do I track down other journalists? I like it here, but I can't find everyone I like to follow🤔
@QasimRashid Musk thinks Trump will bring his millions of followers back to Twitter thus saving it from doom. It won’t work because Trump (or his cult) couldn’t be bothered since he has his own platform, ‘Truth Social’, where he can pontificate from. It’s a desperate move from Musk to save his sinking ship.
@QasimRashid Are you talking about V for Vendetta? It's just a movie, man.
@QasimRashid Genuinley it's the reason I finally deleted my Twitter and came here.
@QasimRashid Well, unless the goal was impact election 🤷‍♀️
@QasimRashid that was the last straw for me. Just deactivated my Twitter account.
@QasimRashid How else can Elon make up the revenue loss but bring back his cult following and advertisers…..
@QasimRashid You just don’t understand Elno’s Billionaire Genius. It’s all part of his brilliant plan to, um, set fire to $44 billion dollars and wipe out the share value of his over-hyped car company to, um, do, uh, stuff.
@QasimRashid I'd guess he wants to destroy twitter, but he paid $44 billion. I think he's going to realize that running a social media company is a lot harder than running a car company.
@QasimRashid This was my final straw. Glad to find you and so many others I followed on Twitter in this space.
