So, off to a shoot today and an odd noise, kinda like a grinding going around the corners only. Stopped at Kwik-Fit to check it out. Loose wheel lugs! Went inside to ask if they would torque them...no. can I borrow a tool to do it I asked....no. Sooo you know, I'll just carry on then? Okay.
Fortunately my client was a human and lent me a socket.

How stupid are folk they will let another human drive a dangerous car for what? 30 seconds of their life?!

@cjf4926 they wouldn’t tighten the lugs? Or even lend you a tool??

Also: you didn’t have a jack and tools in the car?

@mrjalco They would not, no.

And as it happens I did, but hidden under the spare wheel which was of course impossibly tight to remove the clamp
