Only downside: No crossplay between steam and Xbox gamespass accounts (perhaps ever)
@Pipponprops Not a bad idea, I think I still have a 30-day code for that somewhere. :3c Though, no crossplay with Steam would suck.
@gc it indeed DOES suck. Fatshark have said they would LIKE crossplay but guaranteed it wont ship with it, and historically they have a rep for not fulfilling on promises ive read
@gc Basics i myself am waiting on the gamespass version. But i get some folks on the liverpool discord already have it on steam, so :)

@gc Im not sure if FAT are doing a wipe of accounts before release or no, but presuming they dont, all youre missing is that most folk will have potentially spoiled the appearance unlock progression for you by the 30th.

@gc gotta ask tho, why would you care about a private lobby? I mean not seeing your friends in the communal area is..a strange decision. But you can invite your freinds only to be a fireteam.

@Pipponprops Well yeah, that's the part that I meant. :3 Like, if I can't *only* play with friends (or solo) then it ain't the game for me yet, I never want to play with randos.
@gc Ah. Sadly the game is rather balanced around 4 players. (or one ogryn in the beta) so it does rather require those 4. Tho it DID replace disco players with an AI at times
@Pipponprops Hmmm~. Yeah, may end up just skipping it in that case. Rando players are something I *tolerate* in MMO pug groups, but aside from that, generally never want to encounter.
@gc A shame! I think i know at least 4 folks who are getting it when it comes to gamespass. So if you dont mind friends OF friends, total randos can be avoided, at the cost of THE ROSTER BOSS
@Pipponprops Honestly, I'm not much of a social gamer most of the time. :3 I tend to favour stuff I can mostly play solo and just occasionally dip into multiplayer on, so this one might just not be for me. ^^

@gc they are basically bots themselves. I think out of dozens of runs I've seen someone try to use chat maybe twice (outside of default messages/emotes)
Arakin@gc ah darn, that would be a deal breaker for me too. I enjoyed what I've played of Vermintide after they had the free weekend, but only ever played with bots or private parties with my brother+bots?

It's not ready. The UI looks really cheap, the weapon variety is not great. It's not stable, lots of crashing, and doesn't exit & shut down properly when I close the game. I have to force close Steam to get it to close. I loved vermintide2, so I'm super disappointed. It probably needs 6 more months to be released ready. Fat Shark does continue updating long after most would let a game die, so there's hope down the road.
