Hello Mastodon,
CERT-EU here. We have very recently joined the #fediverse and this is our #introduction.
We are the CERT for all the #EU institutions, bodies, and agencies. If you fancy jargon and acronyms, we also call them EUIBAs.
We were born more than a decade ago. We are considered one of the most mature #cybersecurity incident response teams in the EU. We are a proud member of FIRST, TF-CSIRT, the CSIRTs Network (CNW, where we closely cooperate with all the national and governmental CSIRTs of the EU Member States), the European Government CERTs Group (EGC) and other forums.
We also have a technical agreement with NCIRC β our counterpart in NATO β to exchange cybersecurity information. And we have a structured cooperation with the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), with whom we work very closely.
You can see us as a Managed Security Service Provider for the EUIBAs, albeit not for a profit. We provide a wide range of services to our constituents, to prevent, detect and respond to cyberattacks.
Our constituents work in all the sectors you can imagine: finance, health, law enforcement, agriculture, gender equality, etc. They are located all over the Union and also outside of the Union. This gives us a unique perspective on the threat landscape, making #cti one of our biggest strengths.
We are located in #brussels. Our governing body is an inter-institutional steering board, currently chaired by Walter Petrucci, the Director-General of Innovation and Technological Support in the European Parliament.
We will be sharing publications such as our guidance documents, monthly cyber briefs, the executive summaries of our quarterly threat landscape reports, security advisories, and blog posts through this account.
In the meantime, we invite you to look at the major cyber events that made the headlines in the ten years since 2011, since we were createdβ¦
We are very thankful to @jerry and the team for giving us this space ππΎβ
Thank you and long live the #fediverse! βπΎβ
