Remember SARS-CoV-2 is not “just a cold”, despite what some people may tell you.

Please try to prevent yourself and your loved ones from getting it if you can.

@kityates Local street gathering this evening - organiser tells us one person tested positive but is asymptomatic. "Does anyone mind?"
Er, yes - I do!
At least he told us, though.

You can see why a disease, like SARSCoV2, that damages the vascular endothelium (lining of the blood vessels) can have so many effects in so many parts of the body. Worth avoiding infection: vaccines, masks, ventilation, clean air interventions. #LongCovid #Vascularendothelium

@kityates Still not had it. In fact no colds, coughs, flu or Cv since the outbreak. Slightly concerned that even a cold will really hammer me when, inevitably, I get one.
@kityates please put posts about this behind a content wrapper. Gives people choice as to whether they read about Covid in their feed or not.

@kityates I've had 2 vacs, 2 boosters, always mask, have groceries delivered, & do nothing but take walks outside.

I've still caught covid twice, once before cancer, once since. There is NOTHING "just" about covid. Once I survived the worst of it I still had to live with covid toes, no sense of smell, hair falling out & weakness and a bad cough that lasted months.

And it wasn't "just a cold" for the 21 (21!) people in my life (from several countries) that have died from covid.

Keep posting!
