I think I want to change my avatar too. It’s a cool look, but masks and spooky distancing feel like a mood from when I was just starting to transition. That’s for later though - don’t want people to lose track of who I am

Kristin (she/her)@ghost_bird I can definitely understand, verumsolum was an attempt to rework part of something I'd heard before "May only the truth be spoken…" and attempt to Latin-ize it for how I felt when accepting the truth about who I am and being out about it. And re: avatar… I'm tired of mine (and we recently got a neat quick-watercolor at a festival of my wife and I and I'd love to use a crop of that)… but not until the dust settles from people moving from Twitter to Mastodon
Ah, fuck - weirder.earth has mastodon.scot suspended. For a decent reason - no one wants to be federating with cops - but I know and like a bunch of people on there :-(

People want to build a safe space, but thats not possible with federation. I suppose they could turn off federation, but then they wouldn't get new members or a wider audence.
