okay i really like this game so far ..
im super excited to see what all my lil guys evolve into
so far my team has all new guys bc i like to use new pokemon, but since i didn't pick a grass-type starter i kinda wanna use a hoppip, bc ive never been able to before? lol
but currently i have:
-tarountula (snips)
-lechonk (bits)
-fuecoco (bonks)
-fidough (confetti)
-p. wooper (mudbud)
-pawmi (radish)
the one major complaint i have so far is that i got too used to legends: arceus's controls and it keeps tripping me up
why are most of the NPCs in this game pretty asf and bisexual. im not complaining ive just never been so enamored by the random unnamed characters around town before
they really went weird with the pokemon this gen and im extremely here for it
the bads:
there's sometimes lag or frame rate issues, and a couple graphical bugs. they aren't usually too bad for me, but this game has crashed more often than any other ive owned.
the gym tests are by and large kinda lame lol. i liked the old style gyms best though
the entire university thing is kinda underwhelming for me
sandwiches and food are a HUGE part of what's available in cities but they're so boring to me i have no interest i havent touched it. i never touched curry or anything either though it's just not for me ig
the inability to change out of your school uniform is probably the worst part of the game for me. the PC looks the best it ever has, there's more facial customization than ever, but you can only wear a school uniform?? most of the accessories look really lame with it too
a lot of overworld pokemon are Too Small lmao i get the realism but i cant see!
the good:
i love running around this region i love my koraidon creature friend i love gliding ☺️
i love this gens designs!! theyre so fun and interesting
im so excited they're actually trying new things and some of them seem to be sticking
tera types are kinda silly as far as gimmicks go but I like them lol
searching for gimmighoul coins has been really fun even if i don't know what they actually do yet
overall i am really having a lot of fun with this game!!
minor gripes:
you can't really send your pokemon out and have them follow you around while you explore because they're too slow, and if you go out of range they just go back into their pokeball and you have to send them back out
i don't really like the new breeding mechanics as far as ive read, though i haven't tried them myself yet
cities feel kinda boring and empty, though they're not really meant to be the focus of this game so that's alright
more pros:
i like the stories a lot actually, and all the NPCs i met
the character design in general besides the player character is top notch this gen
