I made a worm farm today :)

@AB49K I miss vermicomposting, just too much to do living on acreage now, it was somehow easier when I lived in an apartment.

That said I love the set up there, having the tap for your compost tea is pretty sweet

@Fullnihilism it's just a 60 litre bin with a tap and holes drilled in the top. I'm also on land but I figure I can just throw scraps in or cow manure and they'll thrive!

It's the checking on them and making sure they're thriving & the environ is less hospitable. I live in a cold/wet place in an RV on 5 acres so I can't keep them sheltered well. Easier to just throw everything in a pile I turn a few times a year. Are bugs a problem there? Are they protected from infestations?

@Fullnihilism that's fair, I'm gonna struggle with heat in the summer so they'll have to go in permanent shade. I don't really get bad insects and if it's an issue I'll just got glue some insect screen over the air holes 😂
