American Meteor Society Report a Fireball: it's fun and easy!

You saw something bright and fast? Like a huge shooting star? Report it: it may be a fireball.

May be difficult for anyone to see the fireball through the snowstorm: https://twitter.com/NWSBUFFALO/status/1593829433101647873

I assume that @[email protected] and company will have tracked the meteor: https://twitter.com/MrBeamJockey/status/1593880121768906754

Now the question becomes if anyone can find meteorites in the snow.

“@michael_w_busch @westernuSpace Also, re @WesternU's meteor people… They've got radar near Tavistock, ON. They've got infrasound at Granton, near London. Sure hope their sensors are up and running tonight. As Pasteur said, chance favors the prepared mind! https://t.co/9F3rvfBArH”

Fireball reports for #C8FF042 are now available at https://fireballs.imo.net/members/imo_view/event/2022/8984 and https://fireball.amsmeteors.org/members/imo_view/event/2022/8984 (Thank you, @[email protected])

Fireball reports suggest the meteorites may have ended up in Lake Ontario north of Niagara. This would impede recovery.

Good luck to the searchers.
