Two bright fireballs blazed over southern Ontario in one day

One of these meteors was caused by a small asteroid that is now only the sixth to ever be spotted before it hit.

A meteor lit up the sky in #Toronto in the early hours of Saturday morning. Meteor #C8FF042 was around one metre in diameter. Here it is passing across the CN Tower camera.

The bright meteor was the sixth object detected in space before striking Earth, the European Space Agency said.

Fireball reports suggest the meteorites may have ended up in Lake Ontario north of Niagara. This would impede recovery.
