Strange, and sad, discovery today...I found out that my grandmother, my mother's mother, was married to someone else prior to my grandfather. She married in 1915 and by October 1916 she was a widow. Frank Herbert Thomas was killed on the #Somme along with 100 other men of the 1st Battalion #Hampshire Regiment in another futile, costly attack. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the #Thiepval #Memorial #RIP Frank
