Ha, great study. I'm a big book reader - I keep a log at my website and reckon I'm higher that average - so I'm all for this 😀. But I have to admit to some scepticism about whether they managed to wheedle out all the confounders rather than it being causal.

@bookishbrews @bookstodon Kind of makes sense to me. The worst accident I've had reading a book was said book falling out of my hands and onto my face. So, there's definitely more dangerous ways to spend your time (even though the book was a 600-700 page hardcover, which made it feel somewhat like faceplanting).
@bookishbrews @bookstodon Of cause one needs to remember that correlation does not equal causation. That is, reading may not help, but those who live longer tend to read more books...
