One thing I relied on heavily with Twitter was notifications. I turned up important voices, and their information came to me.

Is there an equivalent in any Mastodon app?

@kmakice @SparkleTea Hmm what about screenshots outside of Mastodon? That’s what it was of. Not sure if that makes a difference

@jamieBGN @SparkleTea whatI’m looking for is how to push the notifications to my phone screen when not in an app.

When I’m in the app, I browse. When I’m out of the app, I only want certain content/authors pushed to me.

on my phone that is controlled by my notifications settings. I can get a banner or a badge or a little flag with a number, etc.

On Metatext when I click the notifications bell at the bottom, I get a list of people who have boosted me or followed me etc.

This is what I’m missing. I want my phone to push just a selected segment of my network when I am not in the app.
