@ProPublica it came out that journa.host is affiliated with kiwifarms https://www.wired.com/story/keffals-kiwifarms-cloudflare-blocked-clara-sorrenti/ and when the community brought it up, they were quite unrepentant. So they are in a bit of a cul-de-sac of the Fediverse going forward.
