#Introduction time I guess! Thanks @jaz for the leg-up!

We're Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, a group of volunteers ready to help walkers and climbers on and around #YrWyddfa (previously known as #Snowdon).

We are the busiest volunteer #mountainrescue team in the UK and possibly even Europe?

We were called out 237 times in 2021 which led to 170 deployments in all weathers.

@jaz @TAM_Llanberis that is funny!! Some of the pronounciation has had me in stitches!! Widvuh !
@TAM_Llanberis I'm a fan.
I support you.
I support the gang in Cheshire
But I struggle to understand how this depends on volunteers and I think that you should be allowed to look at someone and think: "jeans and flip flops?! Yeah.. just keep walking down you'll get there eventually"

@IoanSaid Ha! We do sometimes! Hence deploying to just 170 of the 237 call outs we receive.

Recent technology helps. With tools like #SARLOC and #AML we can see where people are and track them as they descend.

@TAM_Llanberis I'm a commercial drone operator so just waiting for some annoying thing to be sorted so I can use my skill to hopefully make searches faster and safer n my area.
