Mahmoud - محمود عبدالجواد@copdeb you don't connect. #Mastodon and #Pixelfed are living in the #fediverse, meaning, accounts from both services can interact with each other as if they were from the same service, for instance, search for your pixelfed account (e.g. @your_pixelfed_username@pixelfed_hostname) from Mastodon and you will find it and be able to follow it and, favourite and repost your posts from pixelfed, as if they were Mastodon posts.

camilo_villa@copdeb @mahmoudajawad related to this, I just learned that with some apps (and I guess from the web as well, though I don't know how), you can follow a whole Mastodon or Pixelfed instance without needing to follow a certain account, for example:

Attached: 4 images We just noticed this funny instance, https://brands.town It's an instance for "corporate brand promotion". Accounts on there seem truthful and unusually honest :D If you want, you can follow their instance using Fedilab. Steps: 1. Open the navigation drawer 2. Go to 'Reorder timelines' 3. Press the '+' icon on top 4. Type "brands.town" and select 'Mastodon instance' 5. Press 'VALIDATE' Instance will appear in the list and when you go back, you'll see that it is pinned in the top bar
@camilo_villa @mahmoudajawad Wow, this is cool. Therefore one does not need to change instance if you want to catch up with the discussion of others interests.

@camilo_villa TIL. I tried replicating same method in #Mastodon web client but didn't find such an option. Wondering if #fedilab is implementing this client side.
@mahmoudajawad indeed! it seems like Fedilab implements many features client side. They are quite active rolling out new versions and features.

Just use #pixelfed 1 - Find an instance at https://pixelfed.org then register an account 2 - login, copy and paste the fedi address from mastodon into the search bar of #pixelfed 3 - Follow That's it! *Please boost if you find this useful for anyone else:)
