I DON'T LIKE CHANGE
@PeteWharmby me either. It sucks. But I'm glad to see you here ☺️

@PeteWharmby Me too!

These massive events are so, so stressful.

But after a couple of days I feel I’m getting on with it a bit better and the atmosphere seems much more pleasant here, so don’t despair.

@PeteWharmby Not the biggest fan either but at the moment the biggest barrier to change is speed. This thing is soooooo slow.
@PeteWharmby (use card transactions... 👀)

Neither do I, mate, but sometimes it's for the best.

@PeteWharmby You also don't like surprises... there will be a lot less of those here
@PeteWharmby
Made it over here. Trying to get my autistic community up and running.
@PeteWharmby You've got a few followers that don't mind it.
@PeteWharmby me either. Feeling a bit lost and the wrong kind of isolated.
@autisteach @PeteWharmby I Needed to switch phone off last night at 8pm ish as needed process all this change (moving from twitter to mastodon). Think I will go slow today as yesterday I got a bit hyperfixated and then overwhelmed as my feed kept filling up before I could read/reply/filter/follow-back.

@PeteWharmby ♥️
It is a massive change, moving over here from Twitter - very confusing too, but I love the whole concept and ethos.

I hope you navigate the change ok enough to stick around.

@PeteWharmby I'm wandering around here like I do when they change the layout in the supermarket and I can no longer find the bread or the baked beans but my innate sense of justice is so strong that I can't bring myself to spend a second longer on the other place. I have found this place to be much calmer and friendlier. I'm also relieved to see the accounts I am familiar with, those rare gems who helped me discover and embrace my identity as an autistic person, showing up here.
@PeteWharmby I don’t necessarily mind change. I mean, change happens whether we like it or not.
I just don’t like having to adjust to a change that I didn’t really want in the first place. 😕

@PeteWharmby

Me either Pete...me either.

Fortunately, Mastodon seems similar enough that it is not too painful.

I hope to find some of my other online friends here over the next few weeks.

@PeteWharmby
Me neither 😑...but the feeling of losing a community of online peers who truly get autism frightens me more!
@PeteWharmby I’m not even much of a fan of the status quo (not the band but yes, them too), so change can frankly do one.
@PeteWharmby it’s going to be a long transition period for many but, here’s hoping, it’s a platform that embraces our diversity, strives for connecting and all in kind and supportive ways. I mean, that’s my hope and I need some hope!
