Where are my:

1. Disabled people
2. Astro people
3. Star Trek fans

all at on here?

PLEASE FIND ME AND ADOPT ME AGAIN.

S##t. I forgot to mention the neurodivergents on this too πŸ˜‚

Please, NDs, find me and adopt me on here. Predictably, I do not do change well...

@AstroBec Greetings fellow ND!

@annaraven Hello!

(My actual initial reaction was "YES!! Ohhh I like your cat 😍")

@AstroBec That's Liza. (named after Liza Minelli because of her gorgeous eyes.)
@annaraven Hello Liza! She's so beautiful πŸ’œ Thank you for connecting too 😊

@AstroBec Disability Twitter?

Hello fellow spoonie

@sushimom disability twitter! 😊 Hiya fellow spoonie and new friend on here.
@AstroBec DS9 is the best Star Trek
@janesW228 It is pretty good! Voyager was what got me into Trek way back in the day, so I'll always have a soft spot for it. My friend's parents used to tape it on VHS for us to watch every week after school together, bless!
@AstroBec I'm old so I grew up with TMG reruns, DS9 and Babylon 5
@janesW228 I too am old, but I think I was just a bit too young to get how good DS9 was first time round. Loved it when I was older though, and briefly considered calling my daughter Jadzia!

@AstroBec

Not Ezri? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@janesW228 Always Jadzia for a Dax πŸ˜‚

@AstroBec

Curzon it is then πŸ˜‚

@AstroBec Hi there πŸ˜€βœŒοΈ
@eve_eats_apples hello! πŸ‘‹ (thank you for adopting me πŸ˜‚)
@AstroBec πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»
@AstroBec hey! Fellow ND and astro PhD! 😁
@astrotemp hello!! What area are you doing your PhD on? (I'm still on my Masters, but one day soon I hope!)

@AstroBec ah I’m running simulations of black hole accretion disks these days, but previously did a bit of work with AGN jets as well - my science account is linked in my bio, although I’m less active there!

What are are you focussing in for your Masters (or will be for PhD)?

@astrotemp ooh I'll have to check that out, that sounds like so much fun too!! I'm torn between cosmology and exoplanets. Volunteered for Planet Hunters TESS and really enjoying classifying transits on there and my uni has some great research options for exoplanets too, so leaning towards that.

@AstroBec Exoplanets is a pretty hot field right now!

Let me know if you'd ever like a second set of eyes to look over your PhD apps! We have quite a big group of exoplanet people at my institution, although the UK is a long way to travel 🦘

@astrotemp thanks so much! It's definitely exciting atm, especially with the new JWST data coming in too.
@AstroBec psssst I love Star Trek but only TOS
@angel_undercover TOS is amazing 😊 VOY is what got me into Trek so I have a big soft spot for that too.
@AstroBec Amateur astronomer (also a meteorologist) and neurodivergent. Thanks for the follow & I'd be more than happy to adopt you.
@crownweather hooray! Thank you for adopting me, and hello πŸ‘‹ My knowledge on meteorology is mostly just wind patterns (I was a volunteer firefighter for years in one of the most fire prone regions in the world), but it's such a fascinating field!
