@furtivedefect It's worth noting that the Scottish Government are ahead of the game with this. After the NHS Wannacry attack in 2017, a public sector action plan was initiated with the single aim of bringing the Scottish public sector up to a common security baseline. This has been very effective overall although it's impossible to prevent focused attacks by competent attackers as SEPA found out in 2020. Since that attack the Scottish public sector has focused on recovery preparedness.

@islander Good point. I wonder if NI has increased preparedness. I expect not as there hasn't been an executive in place for 5/6 months.

@robdykedotcom @UK_Daniel_Card I bet the ransomware sprint retros are super fun to be apart of. It's just a PM kicking the can down the road and asking for budget increases to hire more consultants.
