So... How do you do Thanksgiving with your extended family when your politics and religious beliefs have changed significantly since you last spent time with them?
@ameredith thankfully it's shifted closer to aligning with their political beliefs, so it's much easier to have those conversations. We've always been able to have religious convos without much drama. My alt right family (they're farther away so we don't spend time together often), I just change the subject.
@szojourner That is good that you've been able to have those conversations. My parents are generally willing to talk and listen without getting angry. I'm not sure how things will go with the rest of my family.
