@0forThot @Jojofromjerz I think it’s pretty similar to Twitter here. With a lot less people I guess. I don’t know sometimes it’s good to look at your feed and not see anything, especially anything negative. Refreshing in a way :)

French TexPat@kurtremete @0forThot @Jojofromjerz it's actually very different than Twitter. It is slower, as in more thoughtful, less snark, less rapidfire comebacks, almost nonexistent negativity. The numbers game means nothing. It's the perfect counterpoint/antidote to what Twitter had become. Enjoy!

Though, I can safely assume that you can, although some folk would appreciate some advance warning of the potty-mouth avalanche using the odd CW content warning which doubles as a subject line for posts.

For me, it was a case that the ".social" was overloading/not accepting people and then it was a case of "try one of those" and I picked one at random.
That was before I became familiar with the peculiarities of each server.
It's fine here and have no reason to move to anywhere else...

E Warren Fan@nitasweeney @Jojofromjerz the Star is a "like", but on Mastodon , the only way to "boost" a toot is with the reblogging (retweet) button. On purpose there is almost no algorithmic boosting on Mastodon

@Jojofromjerz let me know if you figure it out. I'm sure someone knows better, but all I could figure was using Tenor, downloading an MP4 and using the paper clip to attach. @feditips how to do Gifs on Mastodon ?
