hi wonderful people

i know a lot of folks are detoxifying and the birdsite incentives sometimes made it seem like only posting your own stuff was wise. Maybe never boosting others over there made sense.

It's different here. Here, #PeopleAreTheAlgorithm

Which means, if you interact with me, and I look at your profile and it's full of yourself. Well...kinda speaks for itself.

Boosting others here helps re-knitting lost and creating new networks of care. Be generous and share your discoveries.

@christina
As I wanted to lurk and read tips first, it took several days before I posted my introduction. In the meantime I just Boosted other people's stuff and followed interesting people and most of those who followed me.

My introduction got some attention but then my next post got nothing, so now I'm lost.

Any advice?

Hi Suzanna, I'm not sure!

I'm new here too, but have lots of connections in the dweb / fediverse worlds. But from a peek at your profile and website, I have 2 suggestions.

1. make an intro toot / post with your hashtags as well as the #introduction one, and pin that to the top of your stream. (Use hashtags you want to see in your feed, not only about what you do.)

2. I love your takes on #PeopleWatchingAsArt - start talking a bit about that?

and have fun!
