Every time I'm on an escalator I think: what would happen if I passed out? Would my body fall down the stairs? Would it lean to the the right or left? I always position myself away from the void, why? Because I'm the kind of overthinker that care about these ridiculous scenarios obviously.
@maxalmonte14 You are not alone on this issue.
@outofcontrol I'm glad I'm not the only one overthinking this 🙏

@maxalmonte14 Have you ever noticed that when you get on a broken escalator, even if you consciously try to treat it as normal stairs, for a brief moment you feel a disturbance in your balance as if the escalator just stopped. Like your brain is so conditioned that escalators accelerate you quickly when you get on them that it unconsciously expects it, even when you consciously know the escalator is not moving?

Or is that just me?

@andrewfeeney that has totally happened to me, like you feel pulled for a split second and then you realize you gotta walk for yourself.
@maxalmonte14 and I just worry about my shoe laces getting caught...
@ellisgl I saw a kid's sandal getting rip apart by an escalator so I'd say your concern is very valid.
