@jeff Agreed, and I don't understand why orgs like NPR and APM aren't standing up their own servers to not only post content but also to give their journalists an official/verified presence.

Just like they give them an org email, give them an org Mastodon! And just like they can use their personal email for whatever, they can use accounts on other Mastodon servers for whatever.

@mike @jeff Hopefully, this will be the future. A good model is email. Organizations have their own email addresses for several reasons, not the least of which is that they want to own the data. Governments, news organizations, companies, academic institutions, NGOs, and individuals via Mastodon service providers (MSPs ?). It just makes sense.
