Today's photo: Dam (1891). The building is the former stock exchange on Damrak. The man in the carriage is Jan Sitter, born 1854; the woman is probably his wife Catharina Elisabeth Stoepman, born in 1857. Sitter owned a livery stable on Damrak, close to the stock exchange.
