Would it make sense to start an instance aimed at science journalists? Maybe hosted/paid for by the European Federation for Science Journalism? (#efsj).

I have the feeling many science journalists now not really know where to go.

What do other #ScienceJournalists think?

I can imagine the blue bird is still an important place to go for journalists, but building is often easier with less people on it ;-)

@krijnsoeteman As I haven't found a way to just 'like' a message without saying anything, let me say it in a response: 'like'
@Anoukbroersma @krijnsoeteman
The favourite button is used effectively as a "like" response here (it notifies the other person). If you wish to simply save a post for later without notifying anyone you can use the "bookmark" button instead. :)
@BB @krijnsoeteman Ah, that's good to know indeed. As you can't see how many 'likes'/favorites a post has, I assumed incorrectly that the author wouldn't see it either.
@BB @krijnsoeteman Oh, I just liked one of Krijns replies
and suddenly I see where you can spot the amount of likes. Learning something new here every time ;)
@Anoukbroersma
Indeed. There are a few tricks and quirks here, but you soon learn by talking to people :)
I think you can only see the total amount of re-posts and favourites by e.g. opening the post in a new tab on the web interface such that it loads in its own home instance, and then looking at the bottom of the post as attached. I'm not sure why anyone would ever care about those numbers though.
