What do you think of vintage cars?

#Classic #Cars #Vintage

Seems to be a number of rural fellas that have these vintage cars. They don't drive them as antiques, they drive them around daily, just because they like driving them

#Cars What's the difference between #Vintage and #Classics?

I started chasing these around in the rural end of Halifax. There's ones I haven't been able to capture yet.. This is driven daily. They all are

@Rasta Absoltuely gorgeous!

I'd say the difference is that classic is more of a general term where as vintage, antique and retro are all more specific? Opinion though of course....

@Tyresome I thought it had to do with 30 yr + for antique, not sure vintage over classic?
@Rasta Possibly!? In my mind retro isn't that old, vintage is older and antique is even older. I've never thought about the exact times though 😀
@Tyresome I'll Google this now 🤣, most of the vehicles I have are far from classic, probably antiques though.. 😎
@Rasta Lmao! Let me know your findings. I have a 2001 BMW and a 1978 Scimitar!
@Tyresome 2004 GMC Canyon, 1986 Honda 750-4CB., 1992 Suzuki 250 Quadrunner (ATV).. New stuff is a waste of money. NOTHING I DRIVE has quality. No one wants to steal one, no one cuts me off, thinking I just need one good insurance payout.. and no scratches at the mall parking lot ;P No one bangs the rust off with their doors..

@Tyresome Here's what I learned on the internet today... 🤔

Antique: Having a high value because of age and quality, 45 years or older in cars

Vintage: Prior to 1999, of high quality, especially best of its kind.

Classic: Judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.

@Rasta Well none of my cars are of high quality. They're only just about cars!
