There is a cool test of a systems resiliancy that is sometimes done where you let executives into the server room. If this goes unnoticed by the users the systems pass the test and you are prepared for anything. Teams of sysadmins usually work for months preparing for such a test buliding resilliant systems.

However usually there are people there to plug all the wires inn again after the test have been conducted.
