The genius God Emperor of Twitter has turned off microservices that control 2FA verification. Don't log off if you have 2FA and change back to regular verification through email or text. He doesn't know how the website works. JFC. #Mastodon #birdapp
@doloresquintana I don’t really understand this kind of mindset. He’s just making weird choices, I’ve read in recent news that he fired software engineers just because they were arguing on social media sites about his behaviour.
@Splice7567 He had his managers comb through social media and the company slack for anyone who criticized him and had them fired. He tried to pull the hardcore move and out of 50 developers, only 10 accepted the new terms. He had to relax the new no remote work rule and is having in-person meetings to convince some of the top developers not to quit.
@Splice7567 He's stupid and he's a bully who always gets his way because he's Mr. Billionaire. It's rare that someone tells him no, so he expected everyone to knuckle under, but devs can easily get work elsewhere with perks and without having to deal with a tyrant.
@doloresquintana For companies to understand that developers don’t need to work in an office to do their job (I am a developer too), it took a pandemic to create at least a hybrid method of working. Now with Mask’s decisions, Twitter is moving backwards instead of moving forward and before this mess the employees were working 5 days out of 5 fully remotely not the opposite. Mask’s excuse was that Twitter was wasting money for the cafeteria because most people were working from home.
@Splice7567 Exactly. It's a really weird complaint too. Sounds like an excuse.
