Both Elon Musk and Donald Trump wield sledge hammers to protect their fragile egos. Both are utterly lacking in empathy. Both lie, and push baseless conspiracy theories. Their singular goal is to imprint their giant egos on everyone else β€” to exercise raw power over people.
@rbreich I think it is just about money
@rbreich
It is only a few more years before we will dispatch Musk to Mars. Very little chance of him returning
@rbreich Mr. Reich, I LOVE YOUR BOOK AND FOLLOWED YOU WHEN I WAS ON TWITTER! So relieved you are now on Mastodon! Every Wednesday I remember all my favorite teachers and you are definitely in that collection of minds who have taught me! Thank you.
@rbreich to say the least. Both are abominable creatures. Both Machiavellians.
@rbreich Well stated. You’ve captured essence of Elon & Donnie.
@rbreich the big difference though is that Musk has made major innovations and contributions to technology that have benefited human kind. He makes money by making useful stuff. Trump makes money by conning people.
@bertwood @rbreich I used to think so too, but I am starting to doubt that. He bought the companies, pushed them towards productivity. He's not the innovator, but a more visible and hands on venture capitalist.

@rbreich

That's great, Bob. You can maybe have a follow from me when you're ready to put the Dems under this same lens.

And DO the Dems give a flying leap about what Muskrat is doing? It must affect their own safety, and communication abilities, at least a *little* bit, too... Maybe?

@rbreich

Maybe Dems and The Muskrat can bond over how much they love tech but hate workers. Just like Biden and Trump can bond over their in-common lack of regard for women's personal space. lol.

@rbreich Opinion: I think their goal is to extract every drop of blood, sweat, and tears from each employee, to compete w China. Musk has said Americans are lazy, don't work like Chinese do. Other corporations are joining in massive lay offs. Combined with price gouging b/c is not all inflation = a desperate work force. Desperate not just buy the more expensive brand of sneakers. Desperate to feed, clothe and house selves and families. Now, Corp. gangsters own Gop and likely SCOTUS.
@rbreich they also have one thing in common: they are wealthy only by accident of birth. If they didn’t have the luck of the draw they would be the creepy guy drinking a mocha at Starbucks who tripped on a bunch of acid and know the universe, dude.
@rbreich you are absolutely right
@rbreich And they both have lots of children with multiple women. I guess that’s in part due to their narcissism.
