I don't know much about unions in the US... but isn't it possible possible for an employer to just fire everyone that joins one?

@onryo @rbreich not if you get enough workers to join. If you can get enough people to join with promises of better wages, benefits and job security (which many provide) then you have the clout to bargain.

@onryo @rbreich It's illegal to fire somebody for joining or organizing a union (although of course there are ways around that). https://www.nlrb.gov/about-nlrb/rights-we-protect/the-law/employees/your-rights-during-union-organizing
