Older lady asking a sincere question here because I really need your help. My new friends were born female I believe one maybe transsexual and I don't know how to introduce "her" and "her" wife to a new person. I know I don't have to describe anyone sexuality to a newcomer but I don't want to offend anybody and this would help me immensely thank you.
Yes I can just say their name but I feel like the younger generation feels we seniors need to be "hipper" about this.

@Stellasmom227 feels like you should ask your friends how they'd prefer you introduce them? I think it's perfectly fine to ask anyone something like “what pronouns would you like me to use when I refer to you?”
@Stellasmom227 I'm far from expert, but I would stick with names. If you feel like you have the right relationship with your friends you could just ask them how they would prefer to be introduced.
@Stellasmom227 Just ask, they won’t mind. Failing that, if she’s gone male to female, just use she/her. Also, refer to both of them as the wife. Hope this helps!
@Stellasmom227 just ask them. They will appreciate your respect.
