With due respect to other posts and articles I've read, this is one of the best #Mastodon explainers I've found for helping navigate the #twittermigration. 🐘

@tallandtrue
Great resource !
@herjustonce, I thought so and nicely explained without being too technical or patronising. 🙂

@tallandtrue thank you so much!

I do have a question, in case you know the answer to it. I was surprised that this guide said that transferring posts when you move accounts is possible. I had heard that it wasn't - was I misinformed before?

@biasto_bias, I'm too much of a newbie to say one way or the other from experience. But if that's how it's documented in #Mastodon help articles, then I'd trust it ... because I trust this platform. 🐘
@tallandtrue I really like it. Especially the difference between Twitter and Mastodon. I am not an attention junkie, and I have never tried to develop a large group of followers actively. So there isn't that much of Twitter in me 🙂 I hope that Mastodon will not change in the future because of the flux of people with a lot of nostalgia for Twitter or trying to "recreate" some of the Twitter climate here.
@OpenEd, for me, the joy of Twitter was (and still is in my "echo chamber") sharing posts with and interacting with like-minded individuals. And I hope to do the same on #Mastodon, even if Twitter (sadly) implodes!
@tallandtrue that was very helpful, thank you.
