Joshua TopolskyOne interesting side effect I just noticed is that when I think about opening twitter I am immediately filled with dread about how bad the discourse is going to be and when I think about opening Mastodon I'm.... vaguely hopeful? I know it may not last but it's a fascinating feeling.
sidepocket@joshuatopolsky probably because, currently, people come to Mastodon for a better quality of life. It's like moving to a nice neighborhood where the air is clean and the neighbors look out for each other.
