Tens of thousands of University of California academic workers -- including teaching assistants, graduate student researchers, postdocs, and more -- are on strike as of today. Unlike the wildcat strikes at UCSC in 2019-2020, this strike involves the entire UC system and is a union-sanctioned strike. @lindsey very interesting article, and potentially revolutionary consequences for this fight!
What do you think it will happen?
@nuclearidini I don't know what will happen, but I support the striking workers and I think that they have a better shot at success this time than they did three years ago, with a statewide effort and the support of the union behind them. IMO, it's especially significant that four bargaining units are in this together.
