Tens of thousands of University of California academic workers -- including teaching assistants, graduate student researchers, postdocs, and more -- are on strike as of today. Unlike the wildcat strikes at UCSC in 2019-2020, this strike involves the entire UC system and is a union-sanctioned strike.
