@OrobasGacinovic me too, I'm not sure I would if I didn't look through things with a disability lens.
My self before my illness was stuck on self reliance. I was fine with providing care, but had difficulty with receiving it. Being open to care and help is just as necessary as being able to give it.
Ashamar@disabledanarchist I came upon it in a similar fashion, where I tried to be self reliant in everything and injuries, illness made it impossible. It opened me up to the added human connections I get by feeling and expressing gratitude towards those who help me along in my adventure.
