I am delighted to launch this Mastodon instance, allowing a focus for those people who have a interest in Family History and #Genealogy research.

Anyone with such an interest can create an account. (you can have multiple accounts across mastodon to segregate your social activity).

Accounts are being manually activated after creation, as we gradually ease into the Mastodon universe. Activation may take a few hours (especially overnight)

If you want to create an account on this server your ID/Handle will end in @genealysis.social You will then have two IDs to use on Mastodon. If you'd prefer to have one you can keep what you have and just interact with and follow people on here but stay on your mstdn.social server

There is an option to transfer ID too and keep all your followers!

Maybe keep in simple and follow people on here, or interact with the posts, etc and change nothing
