TP@Wildethingy I wonder if I should be getting 250 times less interactions here on mastodon. Thus far I am finding the opposite to be true! Assuming same number of followers/following. No algorithm here either! 🤯
ʞuᴉԀ ✅@Pece @Wildethingy My feeling is that when you have an algorithm promoting content for engagement people end up with engagement fatigue and things they would normally interact with get lost along the way in a sea of populism.
I used to specifically avoid liking any post with more than 1000 likes to save my clicks and pokes for those things that were special to me and weren't getting the attention they deserved.
