#COVID update for #Indiana (first one on #Mastodon!  ).

- Starting in mid to early October, infections began to rise, possibly signalling the start of a new winter wave.

- However, trends have since slowed and stabilized and metrics are now either flat or falling.

- Wastewater viral concentration (arguably the most useful for forecasting now) is falling. /1

Unfortunately, after making it more than 2 years, we have covid in the household. We think my son picked it up at a Halloween party. I was boosted about 2 weeks before that and have continued to test negative. Hopefully that will hold.

We think he's ready to go back to school tomorrow. He'll be masked for a few days, just to be safe. I feel really bad, though, I misread the bivalent guidelines. I thought he wasn't eligible to be boosted when I was, but he was eligible. 🤦
