Just going to record it here before I ruin it with watercolours for the wash part of line&wash :D

#IrishArt #Mastoart #RankAmateur

...and yeah, not really what I was hoping for. The line is lost, the sense of the original scene isn't preserved well, and it's managed to both not be precise enough *and* not be loose enough to be likeable.
Oh well.

@markdennehy still experimental learning is the best kind.

I don't suppose making an A3 copy and then say... black marker? Would be your aesthetic?

It looks pretty good either way, I just like to have things both ways myself. πŸ˜€

@Homebrewandhacking It's in a sketchbook so mistakes are allowed :D

Was thinking of going back over the lines with a wider fineliner (they were 0.05, maybe reinforce with a 0.3...)

@markdennehy @Homebrewandhacking consider using brown instead of black, sometimes it's less severe and blends better with the warm colours. Maybe even fineline with a guache and a 00 brush?
@jjcelery @Homebrewandhacking Have the guache - don't have the 00 brush, or the ability to paint that small :D What do I look like, a warhammer 40k painter? :D
@markdennehy @Homebrewandhacking ugh actually games workshop is the easiest place in Dublin to get brushes that small πŸ˜… but it wasn't an accusation πŸ˜‚
@jjcelery @Homebrewandhacking Jaysus, I was more thinking "I'm not in that league", I've seen the stuff @majorthrill posts when he gets going. Single-hair brush stuff.
@markdennehy @Homebrewandhacking @majorthrill had a look and yeah, I'm deffo not in that league either πŸ™ƒ
